Nadine Larsh
Thanks to your amazing program, I have another success story.  An old student of mine that I had in her freshman year...who joined the PE4ME class her 10th grade looks amazing.  I asked her how/why she did it.  While in our class you referred her to a Doctor because of her weight etc.   The Doctor advised her to lose weight or she could have serious medical problems.  She continued working out in our class, then for the next year she started eating better, running daily and doing other workouts.  Today she told me she has lost 58 pounds, joined the tennis team and looks great! 
You have truly put a great program together for our youth...thank you.
 
Julia
Julia is a sophomore who entered the Healthy for Life/PE4Me program this year. She is now eating differently and her diet includes much less junk food. She said she is eating more fruits and yogurt, which she did not like before. Her mom is making healthier food that she now eats as well. Julia loves the kick boxing class, dance videos and the fitness center. She has improved her running time by two minutes and has lost an impressive eight pounds.
 
Otto
Othoniel, a junior, has been an athlete for many years. In football, he gained weight through lifting weights and poor eating choices. Othoniel has had knee problems and decided not to do football this year, yet he still wanted to stay in shape. He says PE4Me pushes him to the limit! Since eighth grade he has lost more than 150 pounds. Healthy for Life/PE4Me has taught him about a variety of exercises and about making better food choices. Othoniel is part of a long-term study at SJHS and is up for an award of $200 for his consistent weight loss.
 
Nancy
Nancy, a junior, has been in athletics for three years. She needed an elective this year and heard about Healthy for Life/PE4Me and thought it would be a great way to stay in shape. Since day one, Nancy has been a leader in this program. She loves the fitness center, running activities and kick-boxing. She has become an inspiring role model.  She eats from the salad bar more often and has cut way back on junk food. Nancy has lost seven pounds.

"Chef Jaime and I have a lifelong love for food and cooking. Our happiest memories are in the kitchen and at the table eating with our friends and families.  The array of flavors and spices in the recipes are of the traditional dishes that our mother and grandmother prepared, but without the fat.  It will only take you one bite for you to realize how delicious healthy Mexican food can be."
